No sound on the timer? Here is how to fix it.

There are a number of reasons why you may not be getting a sound out of the timer. Here is how to fix it.

On iOS:

Make sure that the sound is on. 

This actually the most common reason why the timer is not ringing. Here is how to fix it.

1: Open the settings app
2: Go to sound and haptics.
3: Make sure that the Ringer an Alerts volume is up. 

Make sure that RepCount has notification permissions.

1: Open the settings app
2: Go to notifications
3: Go to RepCount
4: Make sure that sounds is toggled on

Make sure the phone is not on in silent mode
This one goes without explanation;)

On Android:

2: Press sound
3: Make sure that the Ringer volume is turned up. 

Make sure that RepCount has notification permissions.

1: Open the settings app
2: Go to Apps & notifications
3: Press RepCount. If it isn't visible press "See All" apps first. 
4: Press notifications.
5: Make sure all notifications are enabled
6: Press the "Are you finished?" notification settings. And make sure that the alert option is selected

Turn off power save

Some Android devices have a very agressive power save mode, which is great for saving battery, but not so great for playing rest timer sounds. If the volume settings are not working, one reason may be that your phone has an agressive power save mode on, which may interfere. This has been particularly common on Huawei devices and One Plus

Restart your device.

It has been reported that on some devices, notifications can stop working for unknown reasons. This has been a common issue on some Samsung phones. Some RepCount users have reported that a restart of the device helped.
