How do I switch weight units?
In RepCount you are able to switch the default weight unit displayed throughout the app and you are also able to toggle the weight unit for individual exercises in a workout. This article describes how to do both.
Switching Default Weight Unit
If you have moved to a new country or if you are travelling to/from a country that has a different weight unit than your regular unit, here is how to make the switch.
- Open the settings screen. On iOS this is located in the profile tab and then the settings icon in the top right corner. On Andorid, the settings menu is located in the main menu in the top left corner when in the start screen.
- Tap weight unit and select the weight unit you want to use.
Switching unit for individual exercises in a workout
You can switch the unit for individual exercises in a workout. This is great if you want to track sets for this workout in another unit than you typically use. This can be for example if you are used to use a machine that uses kg, but the machine you are using today is using lbs. Here is how to make the switch.
1: In your workout, tap the more icon to the right of the exercise name.
2: Tap weight unit and select the weight unit you want to use.
Switching units for bodyweight values
Bodyweight is always shown in the default unit so it is not possible to switch the unit of a bodyweight tracked in RepCount. If the value is incorrect, you will have to correct it manually. If you would like a dedicated feature to switch the unit for an entered bodyweight, reach out to us at feedback@repcountapp.com so we know that this is a feature that we should add.
