Why doesn't RepCount have a public API?
We understand that having a public API would be beneficial for some users and other developers However, as a small team with limited resources, we're currently unable to offer this feature. Developing and maintaining a public API requires significant dedication. It's not just about building the API itself, but also about providing comprehensive documentation, ensuring robust security, offering ongoing support, managing infrastructure, handling backwards compatibility if we make changes. At the same time it is also a feature that it is very hard to charge for. For someone wanting this for individual use, it would be hard to charge enough to cover what it costs to build and maintain it. At this time, our focus is on improving the core features of RepCount and delivering the best possible experience for our users within the app itself.
Alternative Solution:
For our Premium users, we offer a CSV export feature that allows you to download your data in a structured format. This can be used to integrate with other tools and services, or to perform your own custom analysis. You can find the CSV export option at the bottom of the statistics tab in the app. We appreciate your understanding and hope that the CSV export feature provides a suitable alternative for your needs. If you have any questions or specific integration needs, please don't hesitate to contact our support team at [support email address].
