How can I plan my workouts?

RepCount allows you to create pre-defined routines to be able to plan your workouts.

Here is what you can do now:

  • Pre-add exercises, including supersets
  • Specify the number of warm-up sets and working sets.
  • Add notes to the routine (this will be copied to the workout notes)
  • Set if the workouts should fetch target weights or reps from the previous time the exercise was executed (great for general use) or if it should fetch from the last time this particular routine was executed (great for heavy/light workouts). Read more here: What are routine targets?
  • Per exercise notes.

"Per-exercise notes" is a small recent addition that makes a big difference in your ability to plan your workouts in more detail. In this update, a notes field is added to each exercise, and this can be used to note down everything that you need to know when starting your routine. A few examples would be to note rep ranges, tempo, and RPE, but it can be used for a lot more.

Future improvements

This is just the first out of many improvements for workout planning in RepCount. Support for multi-week plans and the ability to plan sets in more detail is on the roadmap.
